What is an API row?
A database or data set is comprised of multiple tables that are related to each other, forming a network / family of tables.
An API row is a row from primary table joined with all related rows from the related tables, e.g. parent tables, children tables. It is therefore a composite of data rows / objects associated with each other from otherwise independent tables in the same database.
Each data row from every related table counts toward your billed total. For example, when you request a category with 10,000 products, all 10,001 rows (1 category + 10,000 products) are counted.
